Previously on Rookie Blue Season 5, the main agenda of the team was Project Accountability as they went on a citywide operation to retrieve all "proceeds of crime." All of the 15 Division officers were tasked to seize items purchased with money illegally earned. As part of the mission, Andy and Nick were sent to an illegally operating gambling house to arrest the homeowner. However, when the homeowner confessed something that is quite disconcerting, Andy had to enlist Sam to help her retrieve more details on the truth behind the gambling house and the citywide operation. In tonight's show, Andy must push her qualms over new rookie Duncan Moore's capacity to take on a job when they discover a body of a man that was shot in a stairwell in a dodgy apartment building. To make matters more intense, they will also discover the body of an executed gang leader in a nearby apartment. The 15 Division officers then smell trouble when they realize that a potential gang war is about to happen. Fortunately, Andy and Duncan find themselves an eyewitness to tie everything about the two crimes. The main problem though is the fact that the eyewitness is a 12-year-old. Elsewhere, Gail will have to put up with another victim of a crime when she is tasked to follow up on a woman that was shot in the tenement shootings. The woman was apparently shot by a stray bullet in the laundry room. However, this is not the major problem that will leave Gail stunned, it's the harrowing discovery she'll make about the involvement of the woman in the shootings. Dov and Chloe as well as Nick will come to the rescue, but things are not looking good for the team.
