Floyd Mayweather vs Manny Pacquiao Fight News: Freddie Roach Says Mayweather is ‘All Done’

Freddie Roach reiterated that they are still willing to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. in a super fight next year, despite the fact that the showdown might not be as big as it would have been several years ago.

In an interview with 12 Sports, Roach said that Manny Pacquiao could face Mayweather at any weight, saying that size will not be a factor when the two boxing superstars eventually collide next year.

Roach said that Mayweather looked old in his previous fight against Marcos Maidana in May, which was the real reason why the Argentine challenger almost pulled off an upset before Floyd Jr. escaped with a close majority decision victory.

"We'll fight Mayweather at any weight. It doesn't matter. Weight is not an issue with him. Whatever weight he wants to fight at - we'll fight him," Roach said. "He's shot, he's all done, his legs are gone, based on his last two fights. He says he doesn't move to make it more exciting for the audience."

The Hall of Fame trainer expects Mayweather to win in his upcoming rematch against Maidana on September 13 in Las Vegas, though, reiterating that the unbeaten champion already knows how to beat "El Chino" after winning in their first showdown.

"I'm not picking Maidana. He already knows how to beat him which is why he took the rematch. It makes no sense because it's not going to sell any tickets," Roach stressed.

Top Rank Promotions CEO Bob Arum said in a recent interview that Pacquiao and Mayweather could eventually meet in 2015, but the famed promoter conceded that the ball is still on Mayweather's hand.

Mayweather said earlier this year that he is not interested in doing business with Arum again. But if the fight is eventually finalized, Roach has no doubt in his mind that they have a good shot of handing Mayweather the first defeat of his illustrious career.

"Everyone would have liked to see the fight have happened earlier," Roach said via the San Francisco Chronicles. "But it's still the biggest fight out there, and there is still a huge audience that wants to see it. I think Mayweather is a little shot, and we have a better shot now."
