Homicide Suspect's Body Found In Virginia Elementary School Baseball Field

The body found in a Virginia elementary school baseball field on Monday morning has been confirmed to be that of a man who is wanted by the police for the murder of his girlfriend.

According to Prince William County police, the body of Edward Hale Jr, was found at the T. Clay Wood Elementary School, Nokesville, during a search for him in the area by local authorities.

Hale, 35, originally from Glen Burnie, Maryland, is wanted by the police for the murder of his girlfriend in Bristow, Virginia. Reports indicate that Hale shot Jessica Leigh Wilson, 31, after a short quarrel with her on Sunday. He then fled the scene.

Ms. Wilson reportedly died shortly after arriving at the hospital. Meanwhile, a warrant was put out for the arrest of Hale.

Local cops were reportedly combing the areas near T. Clay Elementary School and Patriot High School before his body was found in the Virginia school. His car has also been found in the parking lot of the T. Clay Elementary School. Reports indicate that the discovery of his car led the investigators to find his body.

Authorities had put both T. Clay Elementary and Patriot High on lock down. Students were later transported to the Brentville High School to continue their activities. Reports indicate that there will be no after school care for the students. The school authorities have instructed parents and guardians to report to Brentville High School to pick up their wards at the appointed dismissal time.

The body found in the Virginia school could disrupt the schedule of parents. Reports indicate that the school is keeping the parents and guardians of their students informed about the situation through social media, text messages and the school's main website.
