Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez were popularly known as former Disney child stars. Recently, there have been several reports saying that the Disney trio were having some issues. While, Miley and Selena were actively enjoying the Hollywood party life, Demi seemed not into that kind of scene anymore.
Earlier this year, Demi Lovato admitted that she no longer follows once close pal, Selena Gomez on social media. They have been friends for over a decade and Selena was there when Demi entered rehab. They were deemed as best friends in Hollywood. However, today, it appears like that is no longer the case. Same as well can be said with Miley Cyrus when Lovato said they are no longer friends.
"I think it's just one of those things where people change and people grow apart," Demi said about her relationship with former BFF, Selena.
It seems that the former Disney girls have drifted apart as they grow up. According to an E! News report last July, Demi Lovato unfollowed Selena Gomez on social media and rumor has it that Demi may have called her former bestie a nasty word. Meanwhile, on Demi's latest interview on The TJ Show, she revealed the status of her friendship with Miley Cyrus.
"Um...yeah...that, um...we're, we're like... We're acquaintances." Demi Lovato explained, "Its life, and people change. I don't have anything in common with her anymore. I wish her the best."
Though it was reported earlier this year by Hollywood Life that Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez and even Taylor Swift allegedly dissed Miley Cyrus for making moves on Justin Bieber, Lovato has only said kind words about her pal, Miley.
"Miley has been one of my best friends growing up and so I'm happy for her," Demi said. "She's doing what she wants to do and this is her time to break out and figure out, you know, what she wants to do in her career and her image and everything...I'm happy seeing her happy because I love her so much. And, you know, she doesn't care what people think, nor should she."
Despite the unending rumors that Demi Lovato has bad blood against former Disney pals, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez, the "Let It Go" singer has only nice words to say to Selena as well.
"Selena, I've known her for 14 years and we've been best friends," Demi Lovato stated. "I love her... She's doing really well right now and I'm really happy for her...We have an incredible friendship."
And though reports said that Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez were having issues on their friendship and their respective fans were fighting against each other, Lovato said she'd rather focus on being a good role model.
"I had to grow up and realize that no matter what I do, I'm going to be somebody's role model," Demi said in an interview with Fault magazine. "I pride myself in being a role model but I'm not perfect-I curse like a sailor and I sometimes make mistakes, but at the same time I want to be what I know my little sister and that younger generation needs."
Meanwhile, the friendship issues of Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus and Selena Gomez just prove that change, growing up and drifting apart just happens in life.
