Eugenie Bouchard’s revelation of the wonderful time she had in Acapulco earlier this year has revived the rumors of Genie’s special admiration of Bulgarian tennis sensation Grigor Dimitrov.
Bouchard, who is fresh from signing a big deal with modeling company IMG, revealed some of her secrets in an exclusive interview on Hello Canada Online Magazine.
The 20-year old Canadian beauty talked about her plan to finish her college studies and her deepest appreciation of the Melbourne kids for their support throughout the course of her Australian Open campaign and being the first members of what is now called the Genie Army.
“The Genie Army are local Melbourne kids. They started this thing in Australia. I have to give them so much credit because I went to the semis in Australia and they were there from the first rounds,” Bouchard told Hello Canada Magazine.
“They made the atmosphere better. They got more fans involved and people started paying more attention and it became this huge thing. They started this worldwide trend where every tournament I go to, people are in the Genie Army.”
But among the revelations she made, Bouchard’s Mexican trip confession intrigued many readers the most. Why? It’s because several months ago the Canadian star indeed had an amazing Mexican escapade, and she had was with no other than Maria Sharapova’s boyfriend, Grigor Dimitrov, who served as her co-promoters for the Abierto Mexicano TELCEL Open.
“Last year, I went to Mexico for vacation. I truly love Mexico and I love just being on a beach and relaxing all day so my dream vacation would is just on a beach either Mexico or Hawaii or something,” according to Bouchard.
Rumors of a Bouchard-Dimitrov romance have been flying around for several months now, and apparently it all began in that same Mexican trip, which the Bulgarian acknowledged as something to talk about in the future. The speculations got even more out of hand when a video taken during the trip showed Bouchard a bit ‘flirty’ while sitting beside Dimitrov aboard a chopper leaked out on social media platforms.
While Bouchard’s latest comment about her Mexican beach vacation can be interpreted differently, Sharapova’s fans jumped on the issue right away and concocted a speculation that there’s more to than meet the eye between Bouchard and Dimitrov.
