Bare-Skinned Heidi Klum Image Ads Forbidden In Las Vegas? Revised Photos Now Approved

Did Heidi Klum Ads just land on Santa's naughty list this holidays? Just a few weeks after Sharper Image unveiled its holiday campaign featuring the 41-year-old supermodel in various states of undress, the ads were forbidden from McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

Heidi Klum's sexy ads have apparently violated Clark County's disposition against showing women's breasts, Yahoo! Celebrity reported. The images also sparked issues about the intention of Sharper Image in revealing their "Gift Right" marketing campaign billboards.

In the Sharper Image ads, Heidi Klum posed bare-skinned in black and white shots with suggestive tagline questions such as "What turns Heidi Klum on?"; "What keeps Heidi Klum busy in the shower?"; "How does Heidi Klum tune out the noise?" and several others.

"An initial set of five Sharper Image ad images featuring Heidi Klum were presented to Alliance on Dec. 17," Clark County's Aviation Department Public Information Administrator Christine Crews said on Friday. "In Alliance's estimation, the ads did not comply with Clark County Code."

According to Clark County's regulation, any images "showing of the female breast with less than a fully opaque covering or any portion thereof below the nipple" are forbidden in public places, The Daily Mail reported. However, Sharper Image representative insisted that the company believed that photos were tastefully done and should in no way be deemed as inappropriate.

"We are shocked that the Sharper Image ads featuring Heidi Klum have been banned in Las Vegas-- of all places," Chief Marketing Officer Dari Marder stated. "We believe the campaign is tasteful, beautiful and while sexy not inappropriate, in any way. The reaction to it has been fabulous to date and it is running in all forms of media without any issue."

Meanwhile, during the ads photo shoot early this year, Heidi Klum revealed to Us Weekly that the more racy campaigns which require her to pose in little to no clothing are among her most enjoyable moments.

"[I feel sexiest] when I'm shooting, to be honest-the less I have on," the model admitted. "Many people maybe are the opposite, like maybe they [prefer to be] more dressed. But the less clothes I have on, the easier it is for me to shoot, and the sexier I feel."

Meanwhile, the ad-banning incident is not the first for Heidi Klum. In summer 2013, a "Project Runway" Season 12 billboard promotional campaign was prohibited in Los Angeles. The ad campaign dubbed as "Fashion Reigns" featured Klum posing with her co-host Tim Gunn while holding large needles and standing over a group of naked models.

In the meantime, Sharper Image's ad firm, Iconix Brand Group, submitted "amended proofs" on Thursday. Crews said all five revised version of Heidi Klum's image ads were now approved to run long after the Christmas rush, from Jan. 3-9 as the company requested.
