Nicki Minaj and Christina Milian's fans were surprised to learn that the two Young Money Entertainment artists were allegedly bickering at each other.
The 32-year old rapper, Nicki Minaj, is not the kind of person to back down on any fight especially when she knew she's on the right side. But Fashion & Style shared it was definitely shocking to hear that the "Truffle Butter" artist was a having a feud with fellow musician Christina Milian.
Several reports claimed that Nicki Minaj, who has never been shy about calling people out on social media, and 33-year-old "Say I" singer are allegedly fighting. According to Inquisitr, Minaj called out Christina Milian on Instagram to remind her over the use of the phrase "pretty on fleek," which the "Only" rapper claimed belong to her.
"Fleek by Onika - I saw Christina sellin tshirts that say Pretty On Fleek. I was waitin on my percentage at the door! *tilts head*" Minaj wrote on Instagram.
Once Nicki Minaj pointed out that she started the phrase, Christina Milian quickly responded with her own photo-sharing site caption.
"Hey Boo. Been saying #OnFleek everything for a while now..." she wrote. "But I'm not afraid to share. Most biz these days on shirts and etc is based off new Pop Culture quotes. That's why it's line is called We Are Pop Culture. More of an homage. I see it pretty often."
"But if you feel any kind of way I'm not a greedy Biatch," Milian added. "The girl that said it in the first place must be on cloud 9 right now."
Nicki Minaj first coined the controversial phrase during her collaboration with Beyoncé for "Feeling Myself," in which she raps, "Kitty on fleek, pretty on fleek / Pretty gang..."
Following the Instagram exchange, fans pointed out that Milian was quick to back down to Minaj's words so as to avoid a nasty social media feud. But, is she really afraid of getting on Minaj's bad side? Or perhaps, it's best to say that neither artists can really take credit for the phrase, as Milian pointed out.
Meanwhile, Nicki Minaj and Christina Milian have reportedly "patched things up" since their alleged dispute over "on fleek," BET revealed. Minaj even confirmed via a Twitter post that things are "all good" after their exchange.
