Derek Hough To Skip ‘Dancing With the Stars’ 10th Anniversary Over Foot Injury? Maria Menounos Is Praying For Pro Dancer

It seems that 5-time mirrorball trophy winner Derek Hough has one hurdle to face to continue his winning streak.

Apparently, the 29-year-old professional dancer has injured his foot during one of his rehearsals for "Dancing With the Stars" 10th anniversary special, where he is to grace the dance floor with Maria Menounos and all of his other former dance partners.

fellow pro dancer Mark Ballas recently broke the news about his friends injury on Instagram, saying: "Long night at the ER with @derekhough nothing worse than seeing a fellow dancer get hurt especially your brother."

Ballas even revealed that he and his girlfriend, singer Britney Jean Carson, stayed by Hough's side throughout his overnight stay at the hospital, ET Online reports.

"But he had me @bcjean and @corkyballas there by his side. #fam," Ballas added in the caption he wrote for the photo he shared of Hough's foot injury.

Because of this mishap, it seems that Hough won't be making it to the anniversary special of the ABC dancing competition.

"He can't dance tonight - he hurt himself in rehearsals last night. Not sure if he can dance next Monday or not," an insider told Us Weekly.

In case Hough's recuperation won't go too well, he will be replaced by another pro dancer, Sasha Farber.

Meanwhile, Menounos has shared that she's praying for the recovery of her partner. On Instagram, she shared a photo of their rehearsals and captioned it: "#menough is back... within minutes @derekhough already injuring me! Lol #DWTS #reunited #prayingforderek #hopewecanstilldance."

"Dancing With the Stars" 10th anniversary is set to air on April 28 at 8 p.m. on ABC.

Aside from Menounos, Hough's other partner, "Glee" alum Amber Riley, is also set to dance with him on the anniversary special.
