"Magic Mike XXL" finally hits theaters this week and as expected, women everywhere are screaming.
And who wouldn't, with Channing Tatum, Matt Bomer, Joe Manganiello and Adam Rodriguez onscreen with almost no clothes on?
The plot of the movie is, Mike and the rest of the gang wanted to give one last great performance before they all retire from being strippers. And, obviously, it is one helluva great performance.
NJ.com reviewed the movie and said that the tandem of Reid Caroling and Channing Tatum is perfect. Reid knows how to write a screenplay that will suit Tatum's character and Tatum knows how to give what the audience wants.
The film was directed by Gregory Jacobs and he gave the film its own unique way of presenting romance. Steven Soderbergh, who directed the first film, came back as the film's cinematographer.
Stephen "tWitch" Boss is also one of the cast of the movie and Philly.com reports that Tatum had been watching tWitch for quite some time and has a specific role for him in "Magic Mike XXL."
Boss said that to prepare for the role, he really did speak with professional strippers to learn more about them and the craft.
The actor said, "What our characters say in the movie, that's what these guys really believe. That's how they look at the audience: 'We're here to worship you, to take away all of your problems for the day and to make sure you have absolute best time you can have. You want a song? We have a song for you. You want a dance? We have a dance.'That's no B.S. The guys really believe that."
So what's next for Channing? Reuters said that the actor is going for the latest trend — the "dad bod." The actor said that he is ready to give up his very intense workout regimen. Tatum added, "Even if it's not, I'm going to try to make it 'in.' So girls be ready for Tatum and his "dad bod."
"Magic Mike XXL" is a sequel to the 2012 hit movie Magic Mike and as expected, it's a massive hit.
