A Glimpse Into Anthony Geary’s Net Worth And Family Amid ‘General Hospital’ Exit

Anthony Geary, an Emmy Award-winning actor who has an estimated net worth of $9 million, has finally bid goodbye to his "General Hospital" character after almost three decades. On Monday afternoon, many soap opera fans became emotional as Luke Spencer delivered his one last episode in the Emmy winning series.

Since 1978, Anthony Geary has been playing the beloved Luke Spencer on the ABC daytime drama "General Hospital." Aside from amassing a $9 million net worth, the 68-year-old actor has received a record of eight Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series.

Even though "General Hospital" fans had almost three months before the emotional farewell on Monday, the episode still offered several sentimental and touching scenes. According to E! News, Luke reconciled with his daughter Lulu (Emme Rylan) after making a confession to Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), who's a gangster. Eventually, he decided to leave Port Charles for good.

During an interview with Nightline, Anthony Geary, whose net worth is $9 million as Celebrity Net Worth listed, revealed about taking a new chapter as he departed the long-running ABC soap opera, ABC News reported.

"It is act three, curtain up, and I'm there center stage," he said.

For decades, Anthony Geary has paved his place in pop culture history as he took the role of Luke Spencer in "General Hospital." He and his costar Genie Francis also made daytime television history when their characters, Luke and Laura, got married in the show, which became the most-watched moment on TV. But now, he has already set his plans once the cameras stopped rolling.

"I'll spend the summer on my boat and my bicycle and go back into my language classes," he shared. "I've been writing, so I'm going to concentrate on a book."

Anthony Geary, who has appeared in over 50 stage plays and amassed a multimillion net worth value, is also looking forward to getting back to work. And while he's fluent in Dutch, he still wants to improve his language skills so that he can audition for a local theater company and act in another language.

"I would like to experience what it's like to play an American in a Hungarian movie, or play a Hungarian in a Dutch movie," he said. "I think that would be a fascinating experience."

As for his family life, Anthony Geary was raised in a Mormon household by his father Russell and his mother Dana along with his two sisters, DeAnn and Jana Geary. As per TV Guide, he enjoys scuba diving whenever he's not acting in front of the cameras.

As Anthony Geary pursues other acting options, will it affect his $9 million net worth?
