Apple Music Included In T-Mobile’s Music Freedom Plan; New iPhone Trade-In Program Now Available

John Legere, the CEO of T-Mobile, recently announced that Apple Music has been included in the company's Music Freedom service.

In addition, as part of the company's Jump! On Demand plan, T-Mobile iPhone 6 users will get the chance to own a new Apple smartphone through a trade-in program.

According to Legere's post in the T-Mobile Newsroom, the Music Freedom plan has been one of the company's most popular programs.

Basically, through this plan, users are able to stream music from a variety of services such as Pandora, Spotify, Rhapsody, AccuRadio, Radio Paradise and iHeartRadio, PC Mag reported. It instantly became a big hit among users because it does not affect their plan's high-speed data allotment.

The only payment that users have to settle is the fee for the Music Freedom plan itself.

After the launch of Apple Music in June, T-Mobile supporters called on the company to include the Cupertino-based tech giant's new streaming service.

"Apple Music has become the single most requested new addition to Music Freedom and counts for a full 80 percent of the requests coming in via Twitter," Legere wrote in the press release.

"I heard every one of them, so it's happening right now," he added.

Aside from the of addition of Apple Music, the executive also explained that those who will purchase the company's iPhone 6 devices with the payment plan of $15 a month will be guaranteed to receive a new Apple iPhone this year once it officially debuts.

They will not have to pay an additional fee to upgrade their handsets. Instead, they can just simply trade in their iPhone 6 devices for a newer model. In addition, even with an upgraded handset, their monthly fees will remain the same.

Legere did not mention which iPhone model users will get the chance to own through the Jump! On Demand program. But, as reported by Venture Capital Post, Apple's iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus handset have already entered mass production and are expected to be unveiled in September.

Given these details, these iPhone variants could be the handsets that T-Mobile will offer for its trade-in program.
