Gorgeous Country Singer Miranda Lambert Performs In Nashville Post-split From Blake Shelton To Fund Women's Scholarship

Country crooner Miranda Lambert is planning to use proceeds from her recent Nashville acoustic show to support the education of women who want to major in songwriting, entertainment industry studies or music business.

The 31-year-old blonde beauty said in a statement that she wanted to launch the Miranda Lambert Women Creators Fund to "encourage and empower women to achieve their goals."

Under her new program which will be at Nashville, Tennessee's Belmont University, aspiring students will be given a chance to apply for the $40,000 scholarship, to be offered for the year 2016-17, Business Standard has learned.

Meanwhile, the "Little Red Wagon" singer put on a brave face during her performance in Nashville post-split with husband Blake Shelton.

Lambert shared the stage with several other notable musicians, among which are Jessi Alexander and Natalie Hemby.

"She came out smiling but was very subdued. She was really nervous and even said so. She was very shy at first," an onlooker told E! News of Lambert. "A little later, she loosened up and started having a good time."

"You could tell she's got things on her mind but she was starting to have fun," the source continued, noting that Lambert was "very funny when she wanted to be."

Donning ripped jeans, black cowboy boots, a Patti Loveless shirt and bright red lipstick, Lambert "looked gorgeous," according to the eyewitness.

She was eventually joined on stage by a number of new artists, including Clare Dunn, Courtney Cole and RaeLynn, who is also a close friend of Blake Shelton and is actually on his team on "The Voice."

"If there was a theme of the night, it was empowering women and songwriters and women artists," the source said.

Shelton and Lambert announced to end their four-year marriage last week. The two released a statement saying, "This is not the future we envisioned. And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter," according to CBS News.

Despite the emergence of numerous cheating rumors, the two remained silent on the issue.
