‘Rory McIlroy PGA Tour’: 5 Things You Should Know About EA Sports’ Golf Game

There are several reviews made since the release of EA Sports' "Rory McIlroy PGA Tour," and opinions have been divided about it. Some say its gameplay is great, while others say the game itself didn't meet their expectations.

Nonetheless, here are five things about the "Rory McIlroy PGA Tour" that you should know.

1.      There are three different control schemes.

The player can choose from Arcade, Classic and Tour.

Returning players will most likely be familiar with Arcade. Here, the shot length is dependent on how far the player pulls the analog stick back, while accuracy is impacted by the straightness of the player's motion, according to Push Square.

The three-click swing, which determines the quality of the player's shot, is back with Classic. Meanwhile, the speed of the player's follow-through and back swing are being factored in if the gamer chooses Tour.

In this control scheme, there are no assists such as zoom and ball spin.

2.      There are lesser golf courses.

The addition of TPC Scottsdale and the Paracel Storm, which is battlefield inspired and set in the South China Sea, are bonuses. However, the golf courses that are being offered now are not as many as the past "PGA Tour" games, Gaming Bolt has learned.

3.      The gameplay is "straightforward."

The gameplay is simple and easy to understand. The player can create a golfer and join a series of minor and some major events.

The player can earn experience, which is translated into stat boost, to make him or her a better driver or putter.

4.      "Rory McIlroy PGA Tour" adds the Night Club Challenges.

If the player wants to take a break from competing, he or she can head over to the Night Club Challenges, where he or she can do some target practices on neon illuminated courses.

5.      There is a tutorial lesson by Rory McIlroy.

As soon as the player starts the game, he or she will be directed to a tutorial section. During the tutorial lessons, there is a live video from McIlroy, who withdrew from the third World Golf Championship Bridgestone Invitational, as per the report of The Guardian.

EA Sports' "Rory McIlroy PGA Tour" was released on July 14.
