Alexander Skarsgard Siblings — Best known for his vampire role in the HBO series, "True Blood," Alexander Skarsgard left his fans a little bewildered after he attended the "Diary of a Teenage Girl" premiere in San Francisco dressed in drag.
During the premiere, Alexander Skarsgard looked stunning while wearing a sparkly gold dress with a sky-high blonde wig and a face full of makeup. According to Variety, his appearance might be a nod to his costar Joshua Grannell aka Peaches Christ, a drag performer who plays a transvestite in Skarsgard upcoming movie, "Diary of a Teenage Girl."
The film, which was a Sundance favorite, featured Alexander Skarsgard along with Kristen Wiig and Bel Powley. Set in the 1970s, the 38-year-old Swedish actor plays the role of Monroe who has an affair with his girlfriend's (Wiig) 15-year-old daughter (Powley).
"Skarsgard makes Monroe so easygoing and likable you sometimes forget that his passivity is actually a contemptible willingness to let his libido make decisions by default," Variety's review stated.
Even though Alexander Skarsgard's recent appearance confused many of his fans, he is actually no stranger in dressing up as a drag. In fact, he played a poised transvestite in the 2006 Swedish film, "Kill Your Darlings."
In other news, Alexander Skarsgard is not the only actor in his family.
