LG G4 Pro Vs Samsung Galaxy Note 5: A Comparison Of Device Specs

LG G4 Pro, if the rumors about its specs are true, will most likely compete with the recently released Samsung Galaxy Note 5. LG's brand-new rumored flagship reportedly has high end specs that can keep up with the new models in the market.

Let's compare the anticipated specs of the new phablet and the latest addition to Samsung's Galaxy series.

LG G4 Pro is presumed to have a slightly larger display screen at 5.8-inch IPS LCD, with 1140x2560 pixel Quad HD, while Galaxy Note 5 has a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with 518ppi. Just like G4 Pro, it has a 1140x2560 pixel Quad HD.

Under the hood, LG G4 Pro is expected to have an octa-core Snapdragon 820 processor. Galaxy note 5 also has an octa-core processor — quad 2.1 GHz and quad 1.5 GHz — with 64-bit Exynos 7420 chipset.

LG G4 Pro will reportedly have a 4GB RAM and an on-board storage of 32GB that can be expanded through a microSD card slot. On the other hand, the Galaxy Note 5 has 4GB of LPDD4 RAM and 32 or 64 GB of UFS, as per GSM Arena; However, unlike G4 Pro, it doesn't have a microSD slot.

Although both devices have stylus pens, LG G4 Pro is rumored to have a slight advantage when it comes to the battery and the Operating System. Galaxy Note 5 runs on Android's 5.1.1 with a 3,000 mAh non-removable battery, which is not user replaceable.

Meanwhile, G4 Pro will reportedly run on the same operating system, but there are other reports stating it will run on Android's 6.0. It is believed to have a 3500mAh removable battery.

LG G4 Pro's microSD card slot and the battery could possibly affect the sales of Samsung's latest flagship.

For those who are particular with snaps, you may want to consider this specification. Galaxy Note 5 has a 16MP rear and 5MP front camera, while G4 Pro reportedly will sport a 21 or 27MP rear and 8MP front- facing camera, according to MNR Daily.

Again, if the camera feature is proven to be true, LG will have another advantage over Samsung.

LG G4 Pro is expected to be announced in October, International Business Times reported.

The speculations about LG G4 Pro's release date seem to be supported by a report posted on GottaBe Mobile. It stated that @evleaks, an accurate leaker, shared a Twitter post early this month saying, "LG H900 ("G4 Pro") scheduled to hit retail in October."

Fans might want to wait for the official announcement of LG, and from there, you can decide which device suits your needs.
