Margaret Cho Becomes Giuliana Rancic’s Copycat Over Dreadlocks Comments As ‘Fashion Police’ Returns From Months-Long Hiatus

"Fashion Police" guest panelist Margaret Cho definitely knew how to stir some buzz when she criticized the hairstyle of 2015 MTV Video Music Awards host Miley Cyrus. Her comments were made on Monday as the controversial E! show returned to the small screem after several months in hiatus.

While all eyes were on Melissa Rivers as she took her late mother Joan Rivers' seat during the premiere episode of "Fashion Police," it was Margaret Cho who surprisingly stole the scene. According to People, the other panelists went to play safe but the 46-year-old comedienne chose a riskier take on Cyrus' hair.

"It looks like she got in a fight with duct tape and a chandelier. And the bitch won," she initially said. But when the topic of Cyrus' hair came up, Cho commented, "That hair looks like it smells like weed and patchouli oil."

So, was Margaret Cho referring to the whole Zendaya controversy? Hollywood Life seemed to believe so since when she made the joke during the Aug. 31 episode, Rancic just looked on but appeared embarrassed.

Earlier this year, Giuliana Rancic was under fire over her racist comments on Zendaya's dreads at the Oscars likely smelling weed. Her comments made a big controversy that led to co-hosts Kathy Griffin and Kelly Osbourne's departure. Since then, Rancic had apologized for offending people and explained her side of the story, Billboard noted.

"In the editing process some of the gestures that I made, some of the things that I said were taken out for time," Rancic said at the time. "So I made peace signs, I said bohemian twice. Those were taken out for time and so when the joke aired some people were offended by it."

Despite stirring in some controversy in "Fashion Police," Margaret Cho, along with other panelists shared their thoughts during the "What did we learn" segment.

"I learned that, if you're Asian and try to be black, it's racist, but if you're black and try to be Asian, it's a compliment," Cho said. "So thank you, Lil Kim!"

"Fashion Police" is finally back. Catch it nexr Monday at 8 p.m. on E!
