Oscar Pistorius' trial is moving forward after officials revealed Tuesday that South Africa's Supreme Court of Appeal will be hearing the Paralympian's case come this Halloween season.
Fox News has learned that the prosecutors on the case are once again pushing for a murder conviction to double-amputee Oscar Pistorius.
The hearing on the killing of Pistorius' girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp, which is set to happen on Nov. 3, will have five judges present.
"I can confirm that the Oscar Pistorius hearing is scheduled for November 3," Luvuyo Mfaku, the spokesperson for National Prosecuting Authority, said.
Last year, Oscar was convicted of culpable homicide and he was declared not guilty of murder for shooting Steenkamp which led to the latter's death.
On his account, the embattled amputee said that he did not intend to kill his girlfriend and that he simply mistook her for an intruder when he shot Reeva through a toilet door in 2013.
At the time Judge Thokozile Masipa ruled that Pistorius was guilty of manslaughter and that he is to spend five years inside jail for his sentence, Yahoo! News reported.
The convicted athlete was supposed to be released from prison in August, but the justice minister of South Africa did an intervention to hamper his release.
As of late, while Oscar Pistorius is still in Pretoria jail, a parole review board will convene next week to decide whether he should be released early and make him serve the remaining time of his sentence under house arrest, as per Daily Mail.
Since the 2013 shooting and the start of his trial, the sprint runner's sponsorship contracts have been terminated and he has been stripped off any lucrative endeavors related to his profession as a Paralympian.
