Michael Schumacher [HEALTH UPDATE]: Hope Still High For F1 Superstar’s Recovery Despite Elusive Condition Reports; Ferrari Chief Maurizio Arrivabene Under Fire Over Schumacher Insult

Up until now, updates about the current health condition of Michael Schumacher have remained scarce. And though the Formula One legend had been released from the hospital for than a year now, reports have continued to be elusive. And in line with F1, Ferrari boss Maurizio Arrivabene is currently under fire for allegedly insulting Schumacher.

Despite Arrivabene's denial, Michael Schumacher's fans were hurt over his remarks, given the fact that the seven-time world champion is in his ongoing recovery from brain injuries he suffered from a skiing accident in the Alpine Ski resort of Meribel, France in December 2013.

"Michael was an introvert who opened up only to a small circle of people," Arrivabene said, as per Motorsport. "Seb is sunnier - the boys regard him as one of them."

Since those statements became controversial, Arrivabene explained that he had no intention of insulting Schumacher. In an interview, the Ferrari chief acknowledged that his remarked generated a stir and was surprised by the reactions. He also said that his comments cannot be construed as offensive and stressed that Schumacher and Vettel were great drivers but were different.

"I pray for him every day, he is always in my heart. Michael is a great, great champion, and man. Just like Sebastian," Arrivabene said. "Both are my great friends and if you knew Michael, you would know the great guy he is. With Seb it is simply easier to know him."

Meanwhile, Michael Schumacher's fans continued to express their support on social media with the hashtag #KeepFightingMichael and has never failed to remember the F1 superstar whenever a GP happens, The Bitbag noted.

While the father of the late Jules Bianchi, Philippe, urged the Schumachers and the world not to lose hope in the recovery of the F1 champ.

"We unfortunately experienced a painful tragedy as well, and like us they (the Schumacher family) showed their strength and have never let go of Michael," Philippe said, International Business Times quoted. "I have no news about him so I can't comment on anything because we don't always know what the sources (of the Schumacher news) are. For what I can say, it is to not let go."

"So long as Michael is still there, he fights," he added. "He is the greatest champion that formula one has known. Jules was very touched by the accident that happened to him (Schumacher) and today I pray that he can get through it, as he is still there and there is always hope."

As for Michael Schumacher's health update, a new report claims that the recovery of the former Mercedes and Ferrari driver's rehabilitation is still very slow.
