‘Scandal’ [SPOILERS] Season 5 Episode 5 A Rude Awakening For Kerry Washington’s Olivia Pope & Tony Goldwyn’s President Fitz? [FREE ONLINE STREAM LINK]

“Scandal” Season 5’s fifth episode this Thursday is going to be a rude awakening for Kerry Washington’s Olivia Pope and Tony Goldwyn’s President Fitz. Now that their relationship is out, the U.S. president’s reputation has been tainted and the big bombshell that’s about to be dropped tonight will be the greatest wake-up call for the two.

The last time we saw "Scandal," Liv and Fitz dared to go on a date following the scandalous big reveal of their White House romance. They were hoping to enjoy their date like normal couples do, but their plan backfired when the paparazzi and many reporters came to question them, PennLive has learned. They know for a fact that their romance could stain the good reputation of Fitz, but they are now more than ever stubborn and their desire to be together has reached an all-time high.

Unfortunately, "Scandal" Season 5 Episode 5 will bring bad news to the couple, and something tells us this is not going to be an easy-to-bypass ordeal. For one thing, Bellamy Young's Mellie Grant wants to be in the picture and grab the limelight from the couple by trying to emerge as a hero for stirring an impeachment trial for Mr. Fitz. Mellie is not allowing her husband and his mistress to enjoy their time for long. In a sneak peek at tonight's "Scandal" Season 5 Episode 5, Fitz will meet up with David Rosen, Elizabeth North and Abby, only to find out that he may be losing his position as president of the country when he is subjected to a trial.

Rosen warns Fitz in the teaser clip saying, "This isn't a normal trial, Mr. President. It's a political trial. Congress is prosecutor and judge and jury. They decide what an impeachable offense is and they decide if you've committed one," as quoted by International Business Times.

Rosen then gives Fitz a serious warning: "If you survive these hearings you're still president. If you don't, you're not."

Aside from the imminent impeachment, Fitz is also going to be tested when he is asked never to contact Liv for the time being. Rosen explains in the promotional clip: "Obstruction of justice, perjury, witness tampering, these are offenses everyone understands and they won't just cost you your presidency, they'll put you in jail."

Interestingly, actor Tony Goldwyn just revealed recently what his ideal "happily ever after" is for his character. "It's to be out and proud with Liv. That's what he wants - and he's getting it! So be careful what you wish for!" he proudly told The Hollywood Reporter. Will Fitz get what he wants anytime soon? Find out by tuning in on ABC at 9 p.m. EDT. The official synopsis of "Scandal" Season 5's all-new episode entitled "You Got Served" reads: "Olivia needs backup to handle the latest crisis, but the person she turns to is an unlikely source. Meanwhile, Mellie and Cyrus try to manipulate things from the sidelines; and Jack is haunted by someone from his past."
