"Big Bang Theory" Season 9 is bringing everyone another explosive episode as guest stars are about to be introduced, bringing some game-changer to the lives of the geeky gang members. The big question now is who are these guest stars?
According to TVGuide, the two guest stars who are appearing on this week's "BBT" episode are Stephen Merchant and Analeigh Tipton. From the looks of it, they will be partnered with our broken couple Sheldon and Amy.
Merchant is a newcomer to the show. He is a writer, producer and a comedian who has produced and starred in a number of successful shows. On his IMDb profile, his listed credentials include: "Meet Ricky Gervais," "The Office," "Stromberg," "Extras," "Life's Too Short" and "Hello Ladies" among others.
The Bristol, England-born actor is also proud of his shows. In fact, he listed them on his personal website called stephenmerchant.com.
On the other hand, Tipton is not a first-timer since she has already appeared in the series back in season 2. Entertainment Weekly revealed that the "Manhattan Love Story" star appeared as herself back then when Raj and Howard attempted to sneak into the "ANTM" house.
Amy is going to use a dating app this week, and it's very likely that she'll meet Merchant through this. We're not sure how Sheldon meets Tipton this Monday night.
The only thing exec Steve Molaro revealed was: "I don't think either of them would want to jump into anything too quickly, even if one is concerned about what the other is or isn't doing."
He also added, "That's not in their nature, definitely not Sheldon's. We're going to play it by ear and see what, if any, steady new relationships develop, but just getting out there going on a date or two is fun and good for them and has the potential for a lot of new stories. This [breakup] is about growing them as individuals."
The official synopsis of "Big Bang Theory" Season 9 Episode 6 reads: "A helium shortage leads Sheldon and Leonard to do business with a dealer in the black market in order to acquire some of the element for an experiment they need to complete. Meanwhile, Penny and Bernadette download a dating app on Amy's phone in hopes that she'll connect with a new man."
