LeBron James and the Cavaliers gave the Charlotte Hornets a beat down yesterday by winning the game 95-90.
According to Cleveland.com, this win extends King James' winning streak against the Bobcats/Hornets to 21 games, including his string of victories during his stint with the Miami Heat.
LeBron has not lost a game with Charlotte since Feb. 19 of 2010.
Moreover, in those 20 games, he averaged 29.8 points and shot 58.8 percent that sums up his total domination of the Hornets.
And speaking of winning streaks, the Cavs win snapped the Hornets' seven-game home winning streak and improved to 4-4 on the road.
Fox Sports reported that the 31-year-old forward scored 25 points and 13 rebounds in his most recent win. Kevin Love also contributed to the win by notching a double-double at halftime, finishing with 18 points and 16 rebounds.
In addition, Richard Jefferson also added 13 points and Tristan Thompson pulled down 12 rebounds for the Cavaliers.
As for the Hornets, Kemba Walker scored 18 points, while Nicolas Batum added 17 points and eight rebounds to lead the team, but unfortunately, it was not enough to give their team the W.
Despite the victory, it was not an easy game for the Cavs as the Hornets led by seven as late as the fourth quarter.
However, head coach David Blatt relied on his starters Lebron, J.R. Smith and reserves Thompson, Jefferson and Matthew Dellavedova to steal the game against the Hornets.
Those five players scored at least two in the quarter and served as five-on-a-string defensively, frustrating the opponent's smaller line-up.
With 6:55 remaining in the fourth quarter, Hornets' star Kemba Walker managed to slide a layup that gave his team an 86-85 lead, but the Hornets only managed four points the rest of the quarter.
Oregon Live reported that the Cavs then rallied to take a 97-86 with a 3-pointer and a driving lay-up by Dellavedova. Smith then extended the lead to four by a three-point shot from the right wing.
The Hornets however, would not give up easily when Jeremy Lam cut the lead to 92-90 with a minute remaining on a 20-foot jump shot. LeBron missed a shot from the top of the key with 38 seconds left, giving Charlotte a chance to tie or take the lead.
Unfortunately, Batum missed a contested three pointer from the top of the key with 20 seconds left. In the last quarter, Hornets shot an atrocious 29 percent from the field (7 of 24), resulting to Cleveland going home with a win.
