Harry Styles, the One Direction sensation, celebrated his 22nd birthday in Beverly Hills this week and to make it more memorable for fans, he decided to quote his ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift on one of her songs.
"I don't know about you but I'm feeling 22", said Styles on his Twitter feed using his social media handle @Harry_Styles.
The line surprised fans and wondered if he was remeniscing about his previous partner.
Styles and Swift were reported to be dating back in 2012 but the romance was short-lived because the connection only lasted three months from November 2012 to January 2013.
Swift describes the relationship as filled with "anxiety". The pop star is known for using her previous relationships in her songs and she explained in one of her concerts that coincided with her ended relationship that that was how she felt. "I'm going to play you a song that I wrote about a relationship that I was in that the number one feeling I felt in the whole relationship was anxiety", said Swift.
On Styles' camp, he just laughed off the matter. "Obviously, you write a lot of stuff from personal experience, but it doesn't necessarily have to be so literal," was the only reply Styles could offer when peppered with questions during an interview with James Corden.
Another tweet from Styles also sparked curiosity from fans. "Thank you for your kind gift, I saw it and I think you're amazing. Thank you. H", was Style's update on Twitter. He was unable to explain further but fans in the comment section can only wonder if it's connected to his previous "22" post.
