Comcast Recent Outage Has Affected Customers All Over United States

Comcast had encountered a technical issue recently that has affected customers nationwide. Comcast responded to the outage.

Comcast has released an announcement on Monday Morning in response to a nationwide outage that has affected thousands of its customers - subscribers that have television and internet accounts with the company.

The affected areas included customers in the Bay Area, Chicago, Philadelphia, Houston, Seattle, Atlanta, Baltimore, Jacksonville, Boston, Washington, DC, and Fort Lauderdale. These areas have been mapped on the company's website.

To calm customers down and to regain confidence in the industry, Comcast released an official statement. The company is "...continuing to investigate what appears to be a temporary network interruption that impacted some of our services (Monday) morning", says a Comcast spokesperson.

To remedy the outage, Comcast's engineers had been working on the technical issue which started at 7:20 AM P.T and advises customers that their services are starting to be restored. Their apology hopes to calm their customer's inconvenience. However, customers are still not happy.

Reports have indicated that they have been trying to reach Comcast's customer service line. The calls continue to keep coming within the hour when outage reports peaked at 446 issues.

The technical issue surrounding this outage seems to be around the cable channels however, internet outages have also been reported.

Thankfully, as of February 16, Comcast's major outage is now over. The company announced over their social media pages that the temporary network outage has been officially repaired but goes on to say that almost all services have been restored.

The company did not reveal further information regarding how many of its 27 million subscribers have been affected.
