'Friends' Reunion: Everyone Was There Except For Matthew Perry During James Burrows NBC Special Tribute

A "Friends" reunion just happened and long-time fans of the iconic comedy television show hoped for all six cast members to gather together under one roof.

Before the tribute even started, it was explained that it was difficult to get all of them together because of their schedules and that included Matthew Perry not being able to make it.

However, he did not disappoint! He didn't want to abandon his co-stars and disappoint fans during the reunion special - he showed up. Well, not like everyone hoped but at least he made it! Perry introduced his fellow "Friends" cast members in a recorded message prior to the actual reunion. His message also explained that he was not able to make it because of his busy schedule.

After that heart-felt message from Perry, David Schwimmer, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc and Jennifer Aniston all held hands as they walked up to the stage with viewers poking fun at the fact that the stars are sitting on a not-so familiar couch.

Since the show is about James Burrows after all, the cast members shared some tidbits about how the iconic Burrows played a part in the television series such as being responsible for Joey's impression of a hocky puck hitting his face and how Lisa Kudrow had to audition in front of Burrows before getting the part of Phoebe.

The cast members laughed heartily and remembered episodes and flashbacks. They also shared memories of behind the scenes.

Did you know that Aniston originally auditioned for the role of Monica and Courteney auditioned for Rachel? Well, the switch clearly worked out anyway.
