Fans have been eagerly waiting for an "Elder Scrolls 6" release date confirmation, but it seems that Bethesda is not yet focusing on making the highly anticipated title.
Rumors have been circulating that an announcement about the sixth installment could be made at the E3 2016 in June. Bethesda has been reportedly preparing for a big audience in the event, making fans question if the developers have very important information to share.
"The Elder Scrolls is a huge series for Bethesda," Neurogadget reported. "Like Fallout 4, The Elder Scrolls 6 would be the sort of hype-inducing game to make an E3 stage show huge. On the other hand, it still feels too soon for The Elder Scrolls 6 to actually release, and Bethesda doesn't seem to favor making announcements too far ahead of time."
However, other rumors are claiming that fans might have to wait for a number of years before they get their hands on the latest "Elder Scrolls 6" release.
"Bethesda usually releases a new TES every 4 years, so when Bethesda didn't release 'The Elder Scrolls 6' last year we're all a bit perplexed," Crossmap noted. "However it seems like we'll still have to wait another 4 years before we can see 'The Elder Scrolls 6.'"
"Ás it is not Bethesda's way to split teams, it seems like we'll be seeing 'Elder Scrolls 6' updates by 2017, since there's Fallout 4 and of course DLCs to be released on the game afterwards. Since Bethesda releases a new Elder Scrolls every 4 years, it seems like we'll be seeing TES 6 by 2019."
Meanwhile, Bethesda's Todd Howard recently addressed rumors about the "Elder Scrolls 6" release date and explained that they are busy with three other projects.
"We actually have three kind of longer term projects we're doing that are all-we'll talk about them at a future date-but they're different than anything we've done before, while also being a Bethesda-style game," he said, as reported by VG247. "Big and crazy, but in many ways different than things we've done before. It's an exciting time."
