Apple Watch Abandoned By Fitbit CEO, Device Incompatibility Raises Alarm For Apple

FITBIT CEO has abandoned Apple Watch owing to device incompatibility issues. The mere move has been noted to instigate alarm for Apple since the probability of losing revenues and device linkages arise.

It stands out that FITBIT wearable does not have the features to par with Apple Watch. Also, the FITBIT activity and fitness trackers are created with single-mode devices in mind. Moreover, the Apple Watch performs a multitude of tasks time keeping, health tracking, iPhone assisting and computing and therein lies the problem, reports CNET.

FITBIT CEO James Park said, "We look at it from a consumer point of view. Apple Watch is a computing platform, but that's really the wrong way to approach this category from the very beginning."

Although the Apple Watch is the leading and trending key player the world of smart watches, it is still a hurdle to link and par the device with other gears. All the more, the world and the consumers are not fully seeing the perspective of the Apple Watch and whether it is a necessity.

In addition, Jobs & Hire formerly reported in the past regarding Apple collaborating with Quanta to improve their devices. According to the report, Apple is on the verge of doing collaborative efforts with Quanta to promote better advancements for its watch gears.

On a different note, Park added on to note, "I think one of the general knocks against smartwatches is that people still don't know what they're good for, so they've crammed everything in."

For the fourth quarter of 2015, FITBIT shipped 8.1 million devices while Apple shipped t 4.1 million units. Along that line, the decision of FITBIT to abandon Apple Watch can raise an alarm for Apple and entire marketing stance because Fitbit's market is neither small nor incompetent.
