Fans are optimistic that the "Pokémon GO" release date will be announced soon. There are speculations that the confirmation will be made at E3 2016.
According to Neurogadget, the "Pokémon GO" release date reveal "is rapidly approaching." Apparently, fans are hopeful that news about the highly-anticipated augmented reality game will be announced at E3 2016.
It was also noted that the "Pokémon GO" beta tests in Japan, Australia and New Zealand have been completed. Niantic announced on Thursday, May 19, that the field test will take place in the United States this time.
Participants can sign up on Niantic's official website. They only need to provide their email address and a description of the iOS or Android device that they have.
There is also the option of including any previous experience with augmented reality mobile games. "Ingress," an augmented reality location-based game, was developed by Niantic.
It is unknown how many "Pokémon GO" beta tests will be run in the U.S. There is also no confirmation on how many participants are needed.
Moreover, all testers are required to keep the details of the highly-anticipated game confidential. However, there have already been leaks on the "Pokémon GO" battle mechanics. Apparently, it will have a different battle model than other "Pokémon" games.
PC Advisor reported that the current "Pokémon GO" gameplay build will only feature the original 150 Pokémon. Players can catch them whenever they come across the creatures.
Every Pokémon caught would gain players a piece of an evolution crystal. This can be used for the Pokémon to evolve.
The Pokeball will enlarge and contract when trying to catch a Pokémon. There's a higher chance of successfully capturing a Pokémon if the circle is small.
Players get an XP boost every time they successfully catch a Pokémon. The game gives between 100 and 500 XP, depending on how rare it is.
Pokeballs can be thrown in various ways such as straight balls, curve balls and flick balls, among others. An XP can also be earned for a good throw.
