It was a tearful day for all of us, even for Marion Bartoli, the winner of the Wimbledon 2013 Women's Single finals.
Sabine Lisicki lost with a red-eyed smile, her beautiful radiance has been once again destroyed after Marion Bartoli beat her 6-1, 6-4. She claim that she had a bad case of nerves.
Marion Bartoli won the Wimbledon finals with a tearful speech, "I just can't believe. Forgive me for my English mistakes, I'm French at the end of the day. As a little girl I dreamed about this for so long. I know how this feels Sabine, and I'm sure you will be there one more time. For me finishing an ace to win Wimbledon, even I couldn't have believed that. I have been practicing my serve for so long, at least I saved it for the best moment. I have some words for my box. First of all, my Dad who is here today. It means so much. It has been my dream since I was six years old. I would like to thank everyone in the crowd who supported me."
Sabine Lisicki said just moments before, with wobbly voice and trying to hold back the tears that are probably rushing through her tear ducts: "Yes, I think I was overwhelmed by the whole situation. Credit to Marion, she handled that perfectly. She deserves it. I hope I'll get the chance one more time as well. I still love this tournament. I still love this court. I love you guys. You've supported me the entire tournament and you supported me to try to get my over my nerves. But Marion was too good. I want to thank my entire team for being there for me. This was my first grand slam final and I hoped I would have won it and I hope I will get this chance one more time."
The trampled flower will be making a combat for the win next year. In her frail bravery, let us cheer for her next win!
