Healthcare Jobs: Medical, Clinical Openings In Small Businessses, In Demand

Health care jobs are in demand especially in small businesses right now. According to the employment report, in May, the United States only gained 38,000 jobs.

This was both a disappointment and a surprise. The health care sector seems to be booming. Compared to other industries, it has been adding more jobs but not in the bigger companies that everyone knows. It's booming in small businesses.

Small businesses are looking for health care workers. Registered, licensed and vocational nurses are the most high in demand with small businesses.

Pharmacy technicians come in close second when it comes to the demand. Small Biz Trends has it that there is a strong need for these top three in the industry right now.

There is also a demand for physician's assistants and physical therapists. Daniel Culbertson, an economic research analyst at Indeed, says, "The high skilled positions often require an advanced degree and there is a shortage of this type of talent."

Culbertson points out that small and medium sized businesses are gaining traction, "Additionally, private practices are a large part of the small business health care landscape, and they are the ones looking for these specialized workers," Culbertson added.

Health care is considered to be one of the few recession-proof industries. Having this kind of demand from small and private businesses will not slow down any time soon.

Other jobs in the health care industry that are in demand right now are occupational therapists, medical records and health information techs, speech language therapists, pathologists, pharmacists, medical and clinical lab technologists.

If you have a medical, clinical or a similar degree and are looking for a job, check out the private sectors in your area. They may be in need of someone like you.

Remember to update your resume or CV and make sure your licenses and certifications are up to date as well.
