Daniel Radcliffe Won't Return For 'Harry Potter And The Cursed Child' Movie Adaptation?

Could Daniel Radcliffe, who had portrayed JK Rowling's 7-part book series "Harry Potter" in the big screen, be intensely busy that's why he won't be able to commit to another HP spin-off movie? Or could he really be over and done with this character and have no plans of coming back should a movie adaptation gets in the works? How devastatingly sad this will be for Potterheads all over the world.

After 9 years since the "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows" book was released, 6 years since the last movie adaptation of the said book was launched to the big screen and 19 Potter years since Harry, Hermione, and Ron left Hogwarts, the "Harry Potter and the Cursed Child" made waves on the theatre stage and, again, on Potterheads around the world as its Special Rehearsal Edition Script was published into books and was made available to everyone.

There's a buzzing clamor among fans that JK Rowling and the rest of the concerned officials let the "8th-part of the story" be made into film. And recently, a rumor is spreading that Warner Bros. could make this plea into reality. However, there's a bigger question to be concerned about. Will the main and dearly beloved cast return as the movie would?

In a special interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Radcliffe shared his view on the possibility of returning to the screen as Potter. Radcliffe said that closing his door on the offer is a stupid decision, however, he would also be "happy and secure enough to let someone else play it."

In addition to that, Radcliffe wouldn't want to put into conclusions the real reason why he's not fully open into grabbing the role. The 27-year-old Harry Potter actor refer to the success and not-so-victorious adaptations and sequels to "Star Wars." Radcliffe suggests that if they try to let other actors join the cast it could "do what Star Wars: The Force Awakens" have done to the original Star Wars, but he also joked that if he returns to his childhood role, it could also turn out to be like the "Phantom Menace."

The bottomline is, Radcliffe doesn't want to ruin the fans' awe and amusement to the movie series. Meanwhile, the Warner Bros. has recently dismissed the rumors of spearheading the movie adaptation of the Harry Potter play, but just like what Radcliffe has said, no one should be closing their doors. However, there's another issue that would surround Radcliffe should he accept the role when offered to him. According to Metro, it would be unsure if a mid-20s Radcliffe could portray a late 30s Potter. Though, he can just cross the bridge when he gets there, can't he?

Radcliffe is currently busy on promoting his present film, "Imperium," and on a future role in another thriller, "Jungle."
