‘Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’ Update: Trailer Released Showed Various Customizations, New Characters

The trailer for the much-awaited "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2," with complete English subtitles, has been officially released by Bandai Namco in the recent Tokyo Game Show 2016.

The trailer started with Trunks persuading others to become part of Time Patrol. In doing so, he explained that the only duty of a Time Patroller is to see to it that history does not deviate from its original course, which include protecting the memories of the people. He further showed the place where Time Patrollers are trained.

Trunks will play a major role in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2." Since the story revolves around time travel, he will travel to different dimensions in order to protect the history of Dragon Ball. In stabilizing the course of history, players may either fight or ally with other players across the globe. Aside from the plot of the game, the upscale of the graphics used for "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" was also noted.

Furthermore, additional playable and non-playable characters were also featured such as Namekian Nail, Mecha Cooler, Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Blue modes, Bulma and Dende. As of the moment, there are already 68 to 76 characters that was introduced out of the total roster of 87, Saiyan Island reported.

Meanwhile, the same publication released an image they acquired from a recent "Xenoverse 2" demo. Though the image only shows 68 playable characters, it is expected that 8 missing characters in the image, such as Omega Shenron, Nuova Shenron, Ice Shenron, Hercule, Rasberry, First Form Frieza, Videl, and Goku Black, will eventually be introduced in "Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2."

In other news, game enthusiasts can already test "Xenoverse 2" in an open or closed beta. For closed Beta, players may avail by pre-ordering the game in PlayStation Store, while open beta will be launched across platforms on Oct. 14 to Oct. 16.

"Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2" will be out on the PC, PS4 and Xbox One on Oct. 28 in North America.
