‘Daredevil’ Season 3 Air Date, Cast & Updates: Iconic Villain Kingpin Confirms Appearance to Netflix Show But Not in ‘Daredevil’ Season 3?

Kingpin, portrayed by Vincent D'Onofrio, is purported to appear in small screens; however, his appearance may not be in "Daredevil" Season 3.

The storyline of "Daredevil" remains as one of the most favorite comic-based show portrayed in the small screen. According to fans, the character of Kingpin is one of the reasons for the continuous patronage of many for the show. For those who might not have known Kingpin until today, he is the darkest villain in "Daredevil" whose only purpose is to fight against Marvel.

Fans, who anticipates the third season of "Daredevil" to return on small screen, was quick in interpreting the recent post of D'Onofrio regarding "Daredevil" Season 3. The actor neither denied nor confirmed his inclusion in the third installment of the show; however, he said that "as long as the writing stays as good," he is going to be there, IGN quoted the actor as saying.

With D'Onofrio's statement, many are in unison to say that since the story is indeed well-written, he will surely be coming back in "Daredevil" Season 3. In fact, fans are happy enough that he is returning to small screen, regardless if it is in "The Defenders," "The Punisher" or "Daredevil."

On another note, rumor has it that another character, Elektra (Elodie Yung), is also set to come back in "Daredevil" Season 3. Her return is expected to add more twist in the story, especially with her intimate relationship with Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox), MNR Daily reported. It can be remembered that the second season ended with her being trapped inside the container as a means to resurrect Nobu Yoshioka (Peter Shinkoda).

Nevertheless, in as much as everyone is looking forward to Kingpin's return, it is rumored that it will take a while before the inception of the show's third season. Accordingly, the latest that "Daredevil" Season 3 could possibly come back will be in 2018; however, this is still unclear and unconfirmed because of the number of Marvel series slated to air in the network until next year. Among the upcoming shows are "Iron Fist," "Luke Cage," "Avengers" and "The Defenders."
