CJ Anderson Injury Update: The Weakest Point For Broncos Could Be RB CJ Anderson's Torn ACL Injury

During an 11-yard run on the last play of the first quarter of the Broncos' 27-9 victory over the Houston Texans Monday night, Anderson suffered an injury. This happened as He closed in on Texans cornerback A.J. Bouye, Anderson tried to make a cut just before contact, planted his right foot, and his knee buckled slightly as he then was tackled.

Anderson missed this Wednesday's practice when he went to seek a second opinion on the knee. The following day, news broke that Clady suffered yet another horrendous injury. His ACL is reportedly torn, meaning he will likely be sidelined for the entire campaign; according to upi.

The injury to Clady is troubling for Denver who already had a couple of concerns on the offensive line since one of only two 'sure bets' going into the off-season will be absent possibly for the entire year. Sadly, the slough of injuries amassed over the past several years and lack of return on their 2013 investment will likely signal the end of Clady's career in Denver after this season.

The Broncos can save $9.5 million dollars in 2016 if Clady is designated as a June 1st cut and only $8.9 million dollars if he is released before June 1st. Kubiak who spoke to Anderson on Thursday morning said

"He's in good spirits, he's out there with his family, I think he understands what we have to go do and just keep our fingers crossed on the other end,'' according to espn.

The only possibly way to save his career at this point is to agree to enter a new agreement possibly with cuts in his overall pay even though it is still unclear whether or not that will be a realistic possibility.

Despite this incident, His 10-million-dollar salary for this season is fully guaranteed (due to injury), as well as a $1.5-million-dollar roster bonus that was earned on the fifth day of the league year.
