J.K. Rowling Blamed For Casting Johnny Depp In ‘Fantastic Beast And Where To Find Them'

After Johnny Depp was cast in Fantastic Beasts and Where To Find Them movie, hordes of irate fans started posting at Twitter vicious invectives aimed at J.K. Rowling. It is an interesting development which can be traced to the actor's personal life, specifically his married life and subsequent divorce.

Johnny Depp has been charged with domestic violence during his marriage with Amber Heard, who also filed restraining order against him. During those times, pictures of Heard's face with bruises were seen by fans in the web.

What is amazing is that Johnny Depp and Amber Heard are now divorced and are in good terms with each other. Heard received a $7 million settlement which she donated to charitable institutions devoted to stop violence against women.

Some are perplexed where these strong emotions and vindictiveness against J.K. Rowling are coming from. With some fans siding with Johnny Depp, there is going to be a "tug of war" situation in the social media arena.

Winona Rider said that, in her short experience with Johnny Depp, she never saw him as abusive. On the contrary, Winona said "I only know him as a really good, loving, caring guy who is very, very protective of the people that he loves."

Johnny Depp's ex wife, Vanessa Paradis said that he was never a wife beater and it was outrageous that Heard can speak about him that way.

Despite the altercations in social media, "Fantastic Beasts and ..." is still a very popular story theme springing out of the Harry Potter stories. The author of the books telling the story is listed as Newt Scamander, the pseudonym used by J.K. Rowling, who is also screenwriter for the film.

Rowling just expanded his Harry Potter story into a new book about magical creatures described in one of Harry Potter's textbook with the same title of "Fantastic beasts and where to find them". Johnny Depp is to play one of the characters in the film version of the story.
