Android 7.1: New Options For Periscope 1.8.1.; Broadcasting Through App Shortcuts Added

Periscope has updated its Android application with duo software packages. The update which lodges the application to the version 1.8.1 released by twitter brings application shortcuts and new broadcasting alternatives.

According to Androidpolice, users running Android 7.1 on their phones will be able to see the new applications' shortcuts by long pressing Periscope application icon using the latest update. They will be able to view shortcuts for Go Live, Teleport, or Search with one tap.  

The new broadcasting feature lets users send an invitation to the viewers so that they can follow or share broadcast, just from the broadcaster actions menu. The new feature allows broadcasters to ask viewers to follow them or share the broadcast, by tapping a button while streaming.

Periscope is an app that lets you share and experience live video streams directly from your Smartphone or tablet. It can be used to capture and broadcast an unfolding news or story. It is made up of more active viewing experience, compared with more traditional ways of experiencing live video

The app encourages viewers to participate in what's happening in the video. This is done by viewers sending comments, and the person sharing the video can respond to remarks at the time the video is being broadcasted.

As reported by Anglenews, Periscope allows for real time interaction; viewers can select the streams they like and can interact with the person streaming the video through the comments/chat function.

The videos being broadcast can be explored in different parts of the world through the interactive map feature. This allows you to search for videos by location and find streams of particular events taking place.

Users of Android 7.1 can now enjoy the features brought by Periscope 1.8.1 which will make their experiences more interesting and enjoyable. Now users can stream videos while interacting with the broadcaster.
