Just hours ago, "A Series of Unfortunate Events" Trailer 2 has been released, and it is nothing short of unpleasantness (in a good way).
"If you are interested in stories with happy endings," Lemony Snicket, played by Patrick Warburton, warns in the first sequence of "A Series of Unfortunate Events" Trailer 2, "that story is streaming elsewhere."
The official description of the trailer says that "This story has no happy ending, no happy beginning, and very few happy things in the middle." Nevertheless, in the case of "A Series of Unfortunate Events," it only means that the TV show wants to deliver quality content that is otherwise based on the book of the same name.
In an account by TVLine, such eye-popping and gritty promotion is what potential watchers could be looking for to be hyped. The Baudelaire children are yet to have the familiar terrible childhood.
Additionally, Neil Patrick Harris' terrific Count Olaf, who added a funny one-liner meaning to the term "carpe diem," is setting the TV show to please the audience.
There has been a previous adaptation of the book as mentioned by Screen Rant. However, it was not successful enough regarding box office performance. Such adaptation of "A Series of Unfortunate Events" did not merit a sequel.
Since then the title has been unheard of until Netflix's bid on the series to make it into a TV show. "A Series of Unfortunate Events" Trailer 2 is a tad short than the first one, but it offers more content about the show, and the tone and depth of the series are more pronounced.
Netflix surely does bring up an outstanding cast. It will be led by the great Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf, Alfre Woodward as Aunt Josephine, Joan Cusack as Justice Strauss, and newcomers Louis Hynes and Malina Weissman for Klaus and Violet Baudelaire, respectively.
Season 1 will be composed of 8 episodes with at least two seasons on the plan. "A Series of Unfortunate Events" streaming on Netflix is set on Jan. 13, 2017.
