Princess Diana's last Christmas Letter Is Haunting

The letter Princess Diana wrote to her friend Simon Barnes was haunting. It was actually like a thank you letter for the book that Barnes gave her for Christmas.

It says that she was enormously touched to receive a lovely gift from hi s good friend. She added, "I have not read 'The Celestial Prophecy' & I'm relying on you to alert me to these great books!" The well-loved princess went on saying that she thanked him for thinking of her at Christmas time.

She even wrote that he wished Barnes a happy 1997 and ended the letter thanking him again for the book. The book she was referring to was The Celestine Prophecy by James Redfield. It was a bestseller in 1996.

It was the year her divorce from Prince Charles was finalized and looking forward to a brighter New Year. However, she did not see the New Year end because she had a tragic accident on August 31, 1997as per The Stir.

Princess Diana died in a car crash together with Dodi Al Fayed and driver Henri Paul. They were running so fast to outdrive the paparazzi.

Later her former bodyguard, Ken Wharfe claimed that she could not have died if his team is still the security escort of Prince William's mother. He could have stopped Al Fayed's order to run fast and ordered that they ride with the seatbelts fastened. The driver Henri Paul has been drinking before he drove.

Her untimely death broke the hearts of the Royal Kingdom even her husband Prince Charles. The heir apparent to the royal throne later married Camilla Parker Bowles with whom he has a relationship before and after his marriage.

Princess Diana left two sons Prince William, married to Kate Middleton and Prince Harry who is now dating American actress Meghan Markle.
