The showdown between Izuku and Katsuki in "Boku No Hero Academia" chapter 119 continues in chapter 120. In a fight between people wth "Quirks," something has to give. In a fight between sworn enemies, is it possible that they'd end up friends after they're done?
"Boku No Hero Academia" Chapters 119 Recap: Izuku Versus Katsuki
Izuku challenges Katsuki to a fight in order to make Katsuki understand how Izuku feels. The classmates went at it with Katsuki having the early advantage by throwing in quick attacks. Izuku realizes that Katsuki has become a lot better in analyzing his movements. As a result, Katsuki seems way faster than Izuku.
Izuku, seeing Katsuki's improvements, acknowledges this which got to Katsuki's nerves. Katsuki attacks but Izuku dodges the following explosion. Katsuki continued his tirades about Izuku's personality.
The combatants continue their fight. During a respite, Izuku reveals that he thinks that Katsuki is an amazing and inspiring person. Izuku adds that Katsuki might even be closer to him than All Might, the famous hero who shared his own "Quirk" to Izuku. Izuku later said that he have always looked up to Katsuki and was always jealous of the latter's abilities.
Despite all this, Izuku resolved to not get beaten. Activating his "Quirk," Izuku launches his "one for all full cowl." By putting his emotions in the attack, Izuku increased the limit of his power and launched a "one for all kick" at his target. Katsuki was taken aback, realizing that Izuku is moving way quicker than before.

Izuku is ecstatic when he realized that he finally have caught up to Katsuki's level. In episode 120, the Bitbag speculates that the fight between the classmates will continue and Izuku would have beaten Katsuki if not for Eraser stopping the fight. With the Eraser interfering, Katsuki is bound to get angrier at Izuku. However, in a fight as intense as this, emotions will flow both ways.
It has been said that you cannot beat an opponent thoroughly unless you know him or her intimately. Knowing your opponent's moves or predicting his possible moves does give one an advantage. It is impossible, however, to not have an understanding of your opponent. And understanding one another is a key to lasting friendship. So this makes it possible that Izuku and Katsuki will become friends after everything is said and done.
Chapters 119 and 120 of "Boku No Hero Academia" continue the story of Izuku and his quest to become a hero. This test against Katsuki is just another adventure that Izuku has to pass.
