Connie McCallister, Missing Since 2004, Found In Mexico With Three Kids

A woman from Winconsin, who was missing since 2004, was found alive in Mexico with her three kids, police informed.

According to authorities investigations, Connie McCallister disappeared in 2004 after her 22-year-old then-boyfriend drugged her, took her to Mexico and abused her when she was only 16 years old.

"Authorities thought she fled to Mexico, but when a church missionary who met McCallister in Mexico realized her name and photo were on the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children website, she learned McCallister was a missing person and contacted officials at the organization," Daily Herald reported.

"We have confirmed, through conversations on Skype, that this is really Connie, and she did ask for help in getting home," Wasau Police Captain Greg Hagenbucher said. "But she won't come back without her children."

Now, McCallister is married to another man and has three young daughters.

The church she used to attend to on vacations for Bible studies, is now trying to collect funds in order to bring McCallister and her family back to U.S.
