Nike Release Dates 2014 and Price: LeBron 11 Elite, Kobe 9 Elite, KD VI Elite ‘Hero’ Hitting Shelves On May 9 [Photo]

Nike will release another special pack that will surely make waves on the sneaker market in May.

Nike announced that the 2014 Basketball Elite Series Hero Collection that features special editions of the signature sneakers of LeBron James, Kobe Bryant, and Kevin Durant, which will hit shelves on May 9 worldwide.

According to Nike, the 'Hero' pack was made to meet the superhuman specifications of the three NBA superstars, who are considered as real-life heroes on the basketball court.

"Prolific colors, premium materials, advanced construction and athlete insights inform this advanced trio of signature shoes in one collection featuring the LeBron 11 Elite, Kobe 9 Elite and KD VI Elite, all in hues representing the superhuman skills each brings to the court," Nike noted.

The LeBron 11 Elite will be released in Elite Laser Crimson/Black-Sport Turquoise colorway - an edition of that is low cut in form unlike the original LeBron 11 along with a new articulated external cage.

This new edition of LeBron's 11th signature sneaker sports a dynamic Flywire fiber upper part that was combined with a Lunarlon cushioning for maximum performance.

This edition has a crimson-based upper part paired with black and turquoise hints along with iridescent hints and full translucent outsole.

The LeBron 11 Elite 'Hero' will sell at $275 per pair in select Nike accounts worldwide.

On the other hand, the Kobe 9 Elite will come out in Elite Wolf Grey/Sport Turquoise-Court Purple colorway. It features a grey-based upper part and multi-color Flyknit accented with turquoise and purple hints.

This Kobe 9 Elite 'Hero', which also features a pop art-inspired camouflage on the heel area, will be available for $225 per pair worldwide.

Kevin Durant's latest signature shoe will also be released in a superhero-themed edition, which is officially listed as the Turbo Green/Vivid Pink-Night Shade colorway.

This edition, which will sell at $200 per pair, boasts features that were never before seen in other KD signature sneaker - features that are tailor made for Durant's versatility on the hardcourt.

"For the first time in a KD signature shoe, this new version boasts a full-length, visible Nike Zoom unit that runs through the entire midsole. This turbo green colored shoe features Flywire technology, reinforced with Kevlar aramid fibers, providing Durant with lockdown support for his versatile style of play," Nike noted.
