Did Sherri Shepherd get fired from "The View?" This is perhaps the question that's been bugging a lot of people - especially the TV personality's fans - since her confirmation that she is now ready to depart from the show. Though Shepherd herself or her spokeswoman has not issued an answer to the question and an explanation why she's leaving ABC's daytime show, it has been made clear that her decision may have been due to the many personal struggles she is currently facing, including her divorce with husband Lamar Sally.

ABC's "The View" continues to face co-host changes after Sherri Shepherd's rep has finally confirmed just this Thursday the co-host's planned exit from the show for good. Shepherd's rep first broke the news to The Wrap.

The confirmed departure of Shepherd comes after Elisabeth Hasselback and Barbara Walter's exit from the daytime talk show. To be exact, it came a month after Walter's exit from the show. Unfortunately, it seems that Shepherd is not ending this cycle of come-and-go as Jenny McCarthy, who just came in last year, is now also moments away from pulling the plug and finding her way out.

"It's been seven wonderful years on The View and after careful consideration it is time for me to move on. I am extremely grateful to Barbara Walters and [executive producer] Bill Geddie for giving me the opportunity," Shepherd said in a statement. "I look forward to the business opportunities that lay ahead for me and I am incredibly grateful to my 'View' family and my fans for supporting me on this journey."

Sherri Shepherd started her "The View" co-hosting stint in 2006 and she instantly became a show regular the year following that.

The specific date for Shepherd's departure from "The View" is yet to be disclosed as of late, but it has already been revealed that Sherri wants to work on her personal challenges after her exit from the show.

On May 12, Shepherd filed for divorce against husband of three years Lamar Sally citing "irreconcilable differences." Meanwhile, Sally has already filed for legal separation and requested for full custody of their unborn child via surrogacy about ten days earlier.

Aside from her legal battle with Sally, Shepherd is also facing legal issues with ex-husband Jeff Tarpley, who is reportedly seeking for full custody of their nine-year-old son Jeffrey. According to Tarpley, Shepherd has neglected the needs of their so due to her busy working schedule.
