'The Good Wife' Season 6 is said to pick up from where the show left off last season. Last time we saw Julianna Margulies' Alicia she was being asked by Alan Cumming's Eli whether she's interested in running for state's attorney. Prior to that Florrick/Agos and Lockhart/Gardner had a conference call involving the Gopnik lawsuit. Things got out of hand when Florrick/Agos overhears their rival office's plan to take them down. Alicia then found out that Lockhart/Gardner was attempting to steal one of their biggest clients. Diane, who was being forced out of her firm by Canning and Lee, then talked to Alicia about merger options, but somehow Alicia was hesitant knowing that it wouldn't be easy to convince Matt Czuchry's Cary to say yes to their plan. As the legal drama series returns tonight, show fans will be filled in with Alicia's thoughts on running for state's attorney. "Season six picks up pretty much right where season five left off," actor Ben Rappaport told HollywoodLife recently. "It starts off with the question if Alicia is going to run for State's attorney. Is Diane going to come Florrick/Agos with us? All these things start to be answered right away in season six." Some repercussions after the death of lead character Will Gardner, played by Josh Charles, will also be seen despite the "renewed energy" in the show. "Everyone was really excited about the writing and the fans were really on it, especially when Josh Charles exited. I think they were taken aback but also really excited by the reaction. There was a renewed interest in the show," Rappaport quipped. Watch 'The Good Wife' season 6 episode 1 stream using the free online stream link found below.

Meanwhile, show co-creator Robert King told TV Line that this season, the series will present a "stronger through-line" for Archie Panjabi's Kalinda. "After you've seen the first episode, I think you'll understand why," King teased. One of the cliffhangers from the previous season is Kalina's complicated love affair with Cary Agos. "(W)e'd lost some of the fun people who we'd built around Kalinda," King said,  noting that more characters are going to show up to expand Kalinda's world. The official summary of 'The Good Wife' season 1 episode 1 titled "The Line" reads: "Alicia is adamant in her refusal to run for State's Attorney despite Eli's attempts to persuade her to launch a campaign. Meanwhile, as Diane considers joining Florrick/Agos as partner, an internal crisis threatens to destroy the firm."
