Hall of Fame trainer Freddie Roach wants Manny Pacquiao to score a dominating victory against Chris Algieri in their upcoming showdown on Nov. 22 at the Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Macau, China.

Roach said in an interview with BoxingScene that he "would love to see a knockout" victory Pacquiao in order to silence his critics who are saying that the Filipino boxing icon is already washed up.

The veteran trainer also added that they expect Algieri to maximize his height and size advantage against Pacquiao, but Roach reiterated that the former pound-for-pound king is already aware of the things that they need to do to neutralize their much bigger and taller foe.

Algieri, who is coming off a big split decision win against Ruslan Provodnikov to claim the World Boxing Organization light welterweight title, said in a recent interview that he will look to use his advantages, but he conceded that he will have a tough time dealing with Pacquiao because of his opponent's experience.

"I agree that Pacquiao's experience is his best weapon, at this point. He has more fights than almost anybody else who is out there right now, any of the top champions. That's going to be something for me to deal with on fight night," Algieri said. "If I use the opposite my inexperience, my youth, my fury, my vigor - versus his experience - it can play both ways. So I have to use my advantages."

Top Rank Promotions CEO Bob Arum also played down speculation that the Pacquiao-Algieri fight won't do good numbers in terms of revenue. The famed promoter said that fans should expect a competitive fight because Algieri is so confident that he has what it takes to pull off an upset victory.

"Algieri is one of the most confident fighters that I've run across," Arum said. "He has convinced everybody that he's talked to [that he'll win] because he believes it himself and he is prepared to give the fight of his life against Manny. He's very, very intelligent. He knows what he's doing in the ring. This is going to be a very, very competitive fight."

In the same interview, Arum also revealed that Algieri will have to agree to face Pacquiao in a rematch should he pull off an upset in their WBO welterweight title fight.
