A comprehensive biography by film writer Shawn Levy revealed Robert De Niro's "darkest secrets." The book entitled, "De Niro: A Life" detailed the legendary actor's compulsive womanizing, his cocaine splurges and his nasty tempers.

In the book written by Shawn Levy, Robert De Niro's life was exposed and his deepest darkest secrets were unveiled. The Daily Mail said the biography also De Niro's sex life and involvement to several black women, which sometimes he chose to seduce and with even one that claimed that he pressured her for an abortion.

Robert De Niro is one of Hollywood's legendary actors who has starred in more than 90 films. He is also one of the industry's notable producer. At the peak of his popularity, his life spiraled into cocaine abuse and a friendship with comedian John Belushi, which had terrible consequences.

Though De Niro's career have spanned for than four decades, his contributions in the industry is still spoken of with reverence by movie aficionados who recall his brilliance in the '70s and '80s. And while biographer Shawn Levy is fascinated by Robert De Niro's brooding performances, he revealed in the book that despite the fact the actor is focused on his career above all else, the Hollywood legend could be sensitive and temperamental among his other darkest secrets.

Shawn Levy also said in his book about Robert De Niro's darkest secrets that the actor became more openly-averse.

"Increasingly, he was living a lifestyle that he was keen never to have revealed," Levy stated.

In Robert De Niro's book about his darkest secrets, Shawn Levy revealed that the actor's sex life was also chaotic in those intoxicating years. After his split with his first wife, De Niro became involved to several women, which included singer-actress Bette Midler, music icon Whitney Houston, supermodel Naomi Campbell and actress Uma Thurman.

Levy also recounted about the time the actor's shared love of cocaine that lay behind his unlikely friendship with comedian John Belushi. Todays News Gazette reported than in February 1982, both actors were staying in LA's Chateau Marmont hotel. Belushi later died from an accidental overdose in the hotel.

The new book, which was written by Shawn Levy that unveiled Robert De Niro's darkest secrets, contained other allegations of the actor bullying women. It included an accusation by actress Cybill Shepherd, De Niro's costar in the 1976 drama "Taxi Driver," claiming that the actor asked her out but turned him down. The actress' boyfriend at that time, film director Peter Bogdanovich said De Niro made Shepherd's life hell on set.  

The Shawn Levy book about Robert De Niro's darkest secrets has unveiled several shocking revelation surrounding the life of the 71-year-old legendary actor. While De Niro is yet to comment about the biography, Levy has given the world an in-depth view about the actor's enigmatic life.
