Issues of integrity are nothing new for former Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino.

There was the time that he secretly interviewed with Auburn while coaching at Louisville, despite his former mentor Tommy Tuberville still being gainfully employed by the Tigers. Or the times that he interviewed for jobs at LSU and Notre Dame even though he promised the Louisville faithful that he was committed to coaching the Cardinals for a long time.

No one can forget the disaster with the Atlanta Falcons either. Petrino bolted from the Cardinals for the NFL but lasted a mere 13 games in Atlanta. Petrino, ever the epitome of classiness, ended up bolting without even addressing his players to why he was leaving mid-season. Instead he left a letter in the locker room before hightailing it to Fayetteville to become the next coach at Arkansas.

Everyone knew that Petrino was an opportunist that was always looking for the next big thing, but few knew that he was always an adulterer that got job promotions for his mistress. Petrino knowingly gave a job to 25-year-old Jessica Dorrell within his football program after carrying on a relationship with her for an extended period of time.

He tabbed the blonde bombshell mistress over 158 other applicants for the student-athlete development coordinator position and even slipped her $20,000 under the table. He basically flaunted the relationship in everyone's faces when he went out on that now-famous motorcycle ride through town on April 1st with Dorrell riding on the back.

Had he not crashed his Harley Davidson with Dorrell on back, it's doubtful that anyone would have ever found out about the extramarital affair. Petrino, who went 21-5 over the last two seasons, would have led the Razorbacks into the 2012 season with the highest expectations the school has had in decades.

But instead Petrino is out of a job and likely won't be coaching at a high-major football program for a long time, if ever again.

There might be another desperate school down the road, but it will be hard for any athletic department to justify hiring Petrino after the way Arkansas athletic director Jeff Long destroyed him at a hastily called press conference on Tuesday night.

Long completely eviscerated Petrino when he told the media that his former coach thought he was bigger than the program and consciously misled the entire athletic department regarding his relationship with Dorrell.

"He made the decision, a conscious decision, to mislead the public on Tuesday, and in doing so negatively and adversely affected the reputation of the University of Arkansas and our football program," Long said on Tuesday. "In short, coach Petrino engaged in a pattern of misleading and manipulative behavior designed to deceive me and members of the athletic staff, both before and after the motorcycle accident."

Petrino knew that Dorrell was involved in the motorcycle wreck, but left his athletic director out to dry when he told the media on April 2nd that he was the only one involved in the crash. It was the epitome of Petrino -- lying every step of the way and thinking that no one would call him out on it.

What athletic director is going to take a chance on a guy like that?

Petrino has now shafted two athletic directors and a NFL owner in the last decade. If he gets another chance, he'll do the exact same.

The 51-year-old issued an apology after his firing saying that he "made several poor decisions following the end of that relationship" and admitted to letting down the university, his players, and his family.

He says that his "sole focus at this point is trying to repair the damage I've done to my family," but did admit hope to a return to coaching soon.

"I love football. I love coaching. I of course hope I can find my way back to the profession I love."

Petrino also loves lying, cheating on his wife, and reaching at any opportunity that comes his way.
