‘Miss Universe’ 2014 [NEWS UPDATE]: Top Predictions As Competition Heats Up This 2015

"Miss Universe" 2014 News UPDATE - The 63rd Annual "Miss Universe" 2014 competition on Jan. 25, 2015 will showcase beauties from almost 90 countries from all over the world. They will graciously vie for the crown to be the successor of current reigning queen, Gabriela Isler of Venezuela. The contestants will be judged in three categories that include swimsuit, evening gown and the interview segment.

The "Miss Universe" 2014 competition will be held at the City of Doral in Florida. It will be hosted by Natalie Morales and Thomas Roberts. As we previously reported, the panel of judges include Manny Pacquiao, Kristin Cavallari, William Levy, Lisa Vanderpump and Lousie Roe. While Nick Jonas and Prince Royce were among the performers during the coronation night.

As the "Miss Universe" 2014 competition heats up, candidates from USA, India, Philippines, Spain, Brazil, Venezuela, Colombia, Mexico, South Africa and Ecuador were among top early crowd favorites, Times of India revealed.

Among the top picks are Nia Sanchez of USA, India's Noyonita Lodh and Melissa Gurgel of Brazil, Venture Capital Post reported. Philippines' Mary Jean Lastimosa gets the most attention from the social media for her advocacy for peace and humanity. Though not really a crowd favorite, Caught Off Side said Yasmin Verheijen of the Netherlands, who is dating former Chelsea defender Khalid Boulahrouz, has also the potential to be the next "Miss Universe."

As the coronation night of the "Miss Universe" 2014 pageant is getting nearer, the predictions for who will win the crown are also heightened.  According to Movie News Guide, the predictions are generally based on the candidates' recognition, poise and exquisiteness.

For the upcoming "Miss Universe" 2014 pageant, here some top picks of the competition predicted by beauty pageant analyst Missosology.

Among them is Nia Sanchez of USA, who is the first Nevada contestant to be crowned as "Miss USA." She is a 24-year-old American who entered the pageant world at a very young age. She is also a fourth-degree black belter and a certified instructor in Tae Kwon Do.

While Mary Jean Lastimosa is a 27-year-old stunner from the Philippines. She is fluent in English and has an unwavering passion for philanthropy and public service. Since she was born in a war-torn province with political insurgencies, she learned the values of courage and determination to excel and pursue her aspirations in life.

Meanwhile, India's Noyonita Lodh is a 21-year-old Business Management student who is fluent in English and has a devotion for women empowerment.

Moreover, Migbelis Lynette Castellanos of Venezuela is a 19-year-old model who is pursuing two BAs in Social Communication and in Political Science. She is also very patriotic. Lastly, 21-year-old Paulina Vega of Colombia speaks English, Spanish and a bit of French and is currently a Business Administration student.
