Chanelle Riggan - A Miss California contestant suffered an embarrassing wardrobe malfunction after her bikini top became undone on stage during the swimsuit round of the competition.
But Chanelle Riggan, who is the current Miss Beverly Hills, quickly put herself together - despite almost losing her balance - before posing for the judges and the cheering crowd.
After the competition, Chanelle Riggan, who took the fourth runner up position, wrote about the incident on Instagram."So tonight I accidentally ripped my bikini top off and flashed an entire online broadcast and audience at the Miss California USA pageant...But on top of that I also received fourth runner up to Miss California USA 2015, my first time ever competing at a state level competition out of 120 of truly the most beautiful women in the state."
Since the incident a controversy has been brewing about whether Riggan may have planned to fake the bikini wardrobe malfunction to gain some points with the judges, and the fans. But this idea begs of a certain cynicism.
An analysis of the video shows clearly that Chanelle Riggan's bikini comes undone as she was pulling away a material that was draping over her body. But she quickly recovers and holds the strings of the bikini top behind her with her right hand as she struts down the runway to the cheers of the crowd.
Whatever the case, Chanelle Riggan, who is a member of the cheerleading team for the Anahiem Ducks hockey team, shows that she has the stuff that pros are made of. At the moment it is unclear if Riggan is looking to participate in other beauty pageants in the future. She is reportedly studying forensic psychology and wishes to work with the FBI in the future.
