But after her embarrassing mishap, the 21-year-old candidate received an overwhelming support and just laughed off the mortifying situation.

The candidate's almost topless incident during the Miss California USA pageant's swimsuit presentation made her an instant celebrity as she managed to salvage the situation like a pro. Gossip Cop shared Riggan gripped her bikini straps from behind and held firmly after she showed the audience a little bit more that what was initially planned, which meant exposing her bare breasts for several seconds.

In a video shared by TMZ, Us Weekly revealed that Miss California USA contestant Chanelle Riggan was nearly topless after her hot-pink bikini top popped off and exposed her boobs to the live viewers. Luckily, she managed to promptly pull her bikini top back down and held the strings in place behind her back and continued to walk confidently with a big smile on her face.

The incident did not crushed Riggan's buoyant spirit instead she managed to just laugh off the embarrassing situation. And when she exited the stage, she kept her delighted expression in place.

So, who is Chanelle Riggan? The Miss California USA candidate, who was almost topless during the pageant's swimwear segment, is a forensic psychology student at the California State Fullerton in Orange County. Heavy.com revealed she is also an NHL Anaheim Ducks Power Players' cheerleader and was a member of a cheering squad for 14 years.

Despite the faulty top that left Chanelle Riggan nearly topless, the Miss California USA candidate recovered pretty well and was given credit for her barely shaken confidence. Because for Riggan, the show must go on indeed! Her brilliant recovery was also praised by the pageants organizers.

"One semifinalist accidentally pulled the string of her top as she reached to remove a sarong which the contestants were also provided to use as a prop by the show production team," the organizers through a statement quoted by Us Weekly. "She recovered quickly with much poise and grace. We could not be more proud of her for her ability to continue on in the competition that night."

Meanwhile, Chanelle Riggan's topless video during the Miss California USA pageant went viral on Jan. 26, Monday. But instead of feeling embarrassed, the beauty queen, who landed the fourth runner-up spot of the competition, proved that she's more than just another pretty face and took to Twitter and shared a positive message.
