Rihanna, who has an estimated net worth of $140 million, has reached another milestone. On Wednesday, the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) announced that the 27-year-old Grammy award-winning singer has surpassed the association's 100 million song certifications, making her on top of RIAA's list of artist with the most digital single awards, CNN reported.

With more than 100 million singles sold, Rihanna is indeed the 21st century's ultimate pop star! Aside from amassing a net worth value of over $100 million, the R&B singer is also the undisputed royalty of the pop charts, beating fellow contenders Taylor Swift and Katy Perry, Reuters revealed. She was also the first artist to cross RIAA's 100 million cumulative singles award threshold.

"Gold & Platinum is the industry's premier way to celebrate achievement in the marketplace," RIAA Chairman & CEO Cary Sherman said in a statement. "We've given awards to artists for nearly 60 years, but it's rare that we have the opportunity to recognize a milestone like the one Rihanna has reached. Congratulations to Rihanna! She has not only surpassed RIAA's one-hundred million mark but also the first artist to do so. It's a historic feat and a testament to an extraordinary career."

Furthermore, the recognition also encompasses the 37 separate titles released during Rihanna's career, Billboard noted. So far, it include a 9X multi-platinum award for "We Found Love," 6X multi-platinums for "Stay," "What's My Name" and "Only Girl," a 2X multi-platinum for new song "FourFiveSeconds," a platinum for "Bitch Better Have My Money," among many others.

Considered as one of the most popular and commercially successful music artists in the world today, Rihanna, whose net worth is $140 million as Celebrity Net Worth listed, has definitely skyrocketed from being an island girl to the fiery good girl gone bad. Though she started pursuing a career in singing at the young age of 16, the "Pon de Replay" songstress has proven herself not to be another MTV-heralded one-hit wonder.

Meanwhile, Rihanna's success does not only include her impressive net worth value. It also comprises a staggering number of awards, side projects such as acting and beauty and fashion endorsement for big companies like CoverGirl, Gucci and Clinique.

Despite adding more millions to her coffer, Rihanna did not forget to share a fraction of her net worth to numerous charity projects. The Barbados-born diva even established her own organization, The Believe Foundation, which helps and supports terminally ill children across the globe.

To date, the "Rude Boy" singer is one of the most successful and bestselling artists of all time. And with her newly acquired recognitions, Rihanna's net worth will surely increase.
