"Proud to be an American...where at least I am free to be me," declared Caitlyn Jenner in a post on Instagram with a picture of the American flag. She also wrote, "Happy 4th of July!" as told by E! News.
Joining in the spirit of the celebration of the Fourth of July, Jenner expressed her gratitude to America and to all those who have given her overwhelming support. Just like what she said in her Vanity Fair interview, she is in a much better place in her life now that she has established her new identity.
"Even my son, actually, Burt said that to me one time. He goes, 'To be honest with you, I think Caitlyn is a lot better person than Bruce,'" Caitlyn told Us Weekly, referring to son Burt Jenner with ex-wife Chrystie Crownover.
She continued saying, "And I really have to — I think he's right, because Bruce always had to tell a lie, he was always living that lie, every day, he always had a secret from morning till night. Caitlyn doesn't have any secrets."
According to Irish Examiner, she has also gained the approval of the other members of the Jenner family including Kris Jenner's daughters Khloe and Kim Kardashian and Kylie and Kendall Jenner.
It was the 65-year-old's reality star and Olympian's first time to celebrate Independence Day since transitioning from being Bruce Jenner this year. She has undergone several plastic surgery prodecures in her transition as a transgender woman. She revealed her new name and look in a Vanity Fair cover on June 1.
Since coming out into the open, debuting her new look and name and saying goodbye to Bruce, Caitlyn has been making rounds of appearances in certain events such as the recent New York Pride celebration in New York. She was also spotted dressed in fashionable outfits.
The former "Keeping with the Kardashians" reality star will be coming out with a documentary of her own entitled, "I am Cait."
